Well, adopts are based on the original designs, so I don't think there'll be much difference. Usually, when some parts of my design deviate from the original idea too much, people ask me to do it the way it was intended (even facial expressions), so that the character is recognizable. I don't like the new Megas either, but I still put 10 of them on my to-do list.
