one thing that commonly happens for me is if i linger on the auction page for longer than 1:30 min without refreshing any bid done afterwards is a "phantom bid" like it shows up for a few second but disappears
When the auction ended, I didn't even see your bid, so I can't tell you what happened to your bid. Maybe you should contact support and clarify this question, because I don't know the answer(

I think only users subscribed to your notifications can see these types of pings in their feed without going to your profile (I made that mistake once :c), so I suggest you to go to the user's profile and post this ping there BUT within one of their notifications. That way, the user will even receive an email :)
