Yall bidders are crazy wanting to pay so much for a shortstack. Don't get me wrong, the art quality is gorgeous and and the design is delightful, but you could commission your own shortstack for 100 dollars, let alone anything over 200!

Yeah I wouldn't say this outloud. You're essentially saying the artist doesn't deserve the money for the work they did.

So in summary, my argument is not that the artist does not deserve the money. I would disagree with that. If I saw one of these shortstack auctions where the price was within my means, I would bid in a heartbeat and pay happily for it. My argument is that the people bidding 600 dollars are spending their money in a suboptimal way from a financial standpoint. My apologies for having to split my argument across 4 comments. Art is a luxury not a need, supply and demand babyyyy! You can try to have a similar adoptable cheaper with another artist, but you will never have this exact same piece, that's why people pay that kind of money, it's called exclusivity.
