So in summary, my argument is not that the artist does not deserve the money. I would disagree with that. If I saw one of these shortstack auctions where the price was within my means, I would bid in a heartbeat and pay happily for it. My argument is that the people bidding 600 dollars are spending their money in a suboptimal way from a financial standpoint. My apologies for having to split my argument across 4 comments. Art is a luxury not a need, supply and demand babyyyy! You can try to have a similar adoptable cheaper with another artist, but you will never have this exact same piece, that's why people pay that kind of money, it's called exclusivity.
