At what point did you realize you were getting trolled?

When Howlbadly just kept doing the bare minimum of bids to keep the auction going. I threw up my arms and gave up, didn't even see the auction go higher and William showing up.

Yeah, why did you even play chicken? Do you really have that much money to throw around on a whim?

Honestly not really, I could pay the bill, but I was hoping the artist would be willing to workout some sort of payment plan. And honestly, I just got very, very invested, I felt very driven to "win". I really liked the character at first sight so I really felt "I gotta win them". Tl;dr driven by emotion, and kind of, not really

So your plan was to fuck around the artist when it plainly says "all of the cash upfront"? Come on.
