How would getting a similar/shared design for multiple characters work?

Excuse me, what do you mean?

I was thinking that the tattoo would be shared/spread between multiple characters of mine with same effects on each of them, so as the artist of the tattoo would you be okay with such use of it should I bid for it on one of them, who is the original holder of it? Also, how free is the location of the tattoo on the character if you do not mind me asking?
