it's not the fact that there's an AB. the problem is hoagiebot was most likely going to claim it anyway, giving no one else a fair shot. they've most likely been buying up almost everything you put up. how is it fair on any other possible bidder? while what they're doing may not be against any written rules, it's pretty much an unspoken rule that you don't buy up all that an auctioneer puts up even if you can afford it. it creates a hostile environment that discourages bidding other than by them.
