Wait did the snipe protection not go through? When I got the noti I was outbid the auction had already ended

It seems they put their bid right before the last 10 minute started, so the sniping protection didn't activate. What is a bit odd is that they didn't respond to my message yet, even though they were online to place the bid right before the end of the auction. And their acc is a bit suspicious, so if it turns out to be a fake bid I will contact you!

That is a pretty common tactic. If you place your bid as close to the snipe protection as possible without triggering it, you can still snipe a design. Happens to me a lot, really no way to counter it except vigilance.
