In general, I thought it would be better to remove them, because most of them are quite difficult to do, and even the usual line + color and flat shadows take a very long time. Are you interested in a specific option, or are you asking for general interest? :^
I was thinking about two options in particular; an added scene, of the character standing up, with her leaking afterwards; and the x-ray view.
