PartyCracker

New auction: FREE YCH

I give up. There's no way to win this one no matter how hard I try. I only hope PartyCracker follows my advice and repeats this raffle for DA users.

For those wondering why your bids aren't working properly, it's because of the data type the site uses to store the bid amount. To put simply, it only allows 6 significant digits, anything after that has to be zeros, it will round down or up as necessary. so if you bid 1111110000001 it will round down to 1111110000000, if you bid 1111114000000, it will still round down to 1111110000000, if you bid 1111116000000, it will round up to 1111120000000. The number of zeros is dictated by an exponent, s

(I think I've figured out that "can't bid more the previous bid" means we can't bid more than double our own previous bid, which effectively means that none of the original participants can't bid anything anymore whatsoever.)

Cracker, what I would do in your place would be to hold this raffle twice - one time here, to comply with the eventual lucky winner, and one time on DeviantArt for the people who tried to participate and got locked out by not knowing how the system worked. I think it's fair that way.

Thank you for the explanation! Do you also know how it fixes itself, as it did for me (very briefly) yesterday? Even bidding with six numbers followed by enough zeroes isn't working for me.

I figure I'm not gonna win this anyway, so I might as well tell you guys - just tried this, and it works. LOG OUT of this site, come back to this page, enter the same email/username you have with your account, enter your bid, and submit. It's worked both times I've tried it, when it's locked me out of regular bidding.

I tried this before and it didn't work for me... it was one of the first things I tried when the bidding first broke on me.

Can’t there just be a different way to rafflevthis off? Like add the bidders into a random number generator ? The poor people are happy to see you’re giving it away free but it’s useless using this site if it’s free

i think this is a better idea than having to depend entirely on whether your bids are coming through or not.

i dont know how but i CAN bidXD But it still remains the same

I had the same problem two days ago and I'm having it again today. I place a bid and it tells me it was "successful", but it doesn't appear on the list. It just fixed itself, and then it unfixed itself again. I don't think there's anything that anyone can do about it.

Shadowking

Do our names have to be on the list of bids in order to be put into the raffle or is it a different way?

I can't bid anymore! For some reason, every time I place my bid, it says it's valid, but it ignores it... Is it because I got into too big of a bidding war?

I spoke too soon. I can't bid anymore again.
