Ultimately you bid on the design and the extras are extras, but assuming I were to win the design at a lower level I could also commission you for pieces with him and get more art for less money. That does factor in that the design itself obviously has a value too. But with such "Ladder" auctions you need to find some middle ground between your prices + design prices, if that makes sense.

That's understandable, but there's something that makes the AB price a bit confusing (maybe). The tiers you posted for the auction (the 100$ sfw sketch, 200$ nsfw sketch etc.) Don't feel like they "align" / connect with your commission prices. I'm not saying the tiers should fully align with your prices, but compared to your commission prices the gaps between extras feels a bit too large.

When it comes to adopts one big thing to keep in mind is that people will use your piece as a reference sheet until they get one made. That means best case scenario people get a flat colored image without shading / lighting to ensure other artists can get the proper colors from the image and such. That can play a big factor for a lot people. Your commission prices and sb honestly look good, very affordable. I can't say much about AB though, I never thought much about that.
