this is not an attempt to shame, but a request and advice. such low prices harm not only the artist himself who sets the low prices, but also the entire market. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about. I don't want an artist to feel bad about my comment, I just want artists to stop selling their work for a pittance. work should be respected and worthily paid (I'm not talking about thousands of dollars, no, but obviously not one or two dollars for very beautiful art in a unique style, artists deserve more). I know it’s hard to get consistent commissions for good money at first, but it’s worth the sweat and the results will be worth it. all good, I do not want to harm anyone in my own words, but it is better to really set average prices and not have customers for a while, than then have an ungrateful audience that will shame you for the slightest attempt to raise prices in the future.
that's all well and good, but many artists need the money now rather than later, and need steady commissions to support themselves. if someone will buy at a lower price, then the artist is supposed to go without money until someone can afford the higher price? it's not up to us to judge what an artist is in need of or police their pricing, especially if we don't know their financial situation. i appreciate your position but it isn't always possible.
stop destroying the market. do not put such small prices, I beg
